Why Do I Write
“I profess to be one of those who, by profiting, write, and by writing profit.”
My writing is solely the result of profiting from my Personal studies and Meditation! I have learnt that through writing the writer profits more than the reader, and those who profit without writing are bound to forget and/or leave nothing behind to profit others.
Therefore, this platform is not for academic purpose, entertainment or business! It is rather an archive of my personal studies and if God uses it for the profiting of other, then I will be that beggar who directed other beggars where He has found bread.
As John Calvin said:“it is the duty of those who have received from God more-light than others to assist the simple in this matter, and, as it were, lend them their hand to guide and assist them in finding the sum of what God has pleased to teach us in his word”.
As Van Til said “The writer is greatly indebted to the reformed exegetes of Scripture. The writer is also greatly indebted to the great reformed dogmaticians…” Not to forget other writers who through common Grace wrote what align with the Reformed or Calvinistic Christian worldview.
Modern thought and behavior are informed by modern philosophy, and often times, it parades itself arrogantly in all areas of life unchallenged like that giant philistine ‘Goliath’. It is therefore the duty of Christians (Like David) through the lenses of Reformed (Calvinistic) Christianity that we wish to torch the bankruptcy, utter futility and damning nature of modern life in rebellion to God.
There is a Chariot of the reformation which was set in motion by God after the fall of Man, when He promised that the seed of the woman shall crash the serpent’s head, and through-out history, it has been recruiting and it is that battle for the souls of Men that we wish to engage in.
The writing will be in form of Personal study notes that are arranged to profit others, therefore the writing will not be more of informal and should only be taken for edification only.
